As always, the Friday night work session is open to ALL of our team
members. So if you are looking for some computer time or time to ask some questions or have your case looked over, etc., the work session nights are a good opportunity.
This week we will meet a NORTH instead of our usual South location.
Time is the same, 5-7PM. (Change in location allows for the Tom vs.
Julie showdown!)
Furthermore, I'm asking all of the people competing at Glenbrook to come to the work session so that we can start looking at a few things to prep.
Andy.

Our trip to Apple Valley was great! We competed against 69 schools
from 18 states -- this was a national-level tournament, right in our
own back yard.
Lots of good news:
Lakevillle North finished 3rd in overall team sweepstakes, behind
Lynbrook and Edina. I have to think that Lakeville South was close to
that award too. The sweepstakes award is a measure of overall team
success.
Our Varsity debaters did not win any hardware, but were all in
position to break going into the last couple rounds. It's good to be
in a spot where you control your own destiny and things just didn't
fall their way in round seven. Alexandra Fernandez, Courtney
Erickson, Tyler Traub, Abbie Gudmundson, and Mike Berger all finished
with a 4-3 record.
JV debaters had a great tournament!
Tim Jennings -- Quarterfinalist
Lindsay Kubina -- Quarterfinalist
Elisabeth White -- Octofinalist
Julie Schmidt -- Octofinalist
Tim Jennings -- 1st speaker
Lindsay Kubina -- 6th speaker
Julie Schmidt -- 8th speaker
Christian Keil and Tom Caruso debaters were 4-2 but lacked enough
points to break.
Novice debaters also have plenty to be happy about:
Carissa VanSlooten -- Quarterfinalist
Taylor Ehlis -- Quarterfinalist
Steven Elliott -- Octofinalist
Alexandra Nelson -- Octofinalist
Sarah Lund -- Octofinalist
Alexandra Nelson -- 1st speaker
Carissa VanSlooten -- 6th speaker
Steven Elliott -- 8th speaker
Sarah Lund -- 11th speaker
