Word Template for Debate Blocks

I got this from edebate list. Amazing template you can use for all of your block writing. I installed it and it's great.

At the California tournaments and at West Georgia, I tried gathering information on MS Word templates. It doesn't seem like there is much "new" stuff to report. But I thought I would post the template I've been using lately.

Download it at --
http://www.uga.edu/~spc/debate/research_guide/template.dot

I love feedback on this kind of stuff, so please send me any comments or suggestions -- send to nramachandrappa at gmail.com (I'm trying to change e-mail addresses). Also, if there are macros or other things in this template, that you want to incorporate into your own template, but are unsure of, let me know as well.

Oh and at some point, I plan on updating the "tutorial" to include macros and other things, but that's for later and perhaps not until Office 2007.

Watching State Debate

There are some rules about going to State, the violation of which can result in our debaters being disqualified.
  • You can only watch a debate involving a debater from YOUR high school.
  • You cannot share information with debaters from other schools, including our own.
  • No cheering or other distracting actions are allowed.
Then I have a couple other rules:
  • You must flow and pay attention.
  • NO talking to each other during the debate; no passing notes, etc.
  • Act like you are an invited guest -- be quiet, polite, and gracious.
  • Do not talk about judges or debaters at the tournament.
Here is who I know is planning on attending and will be riding the bus:

North:
Steven Elliott
Tom Caruso (Friday only)
Elisabeth White (Friday only)
Alexandra Fernandez (Friday only)

South:
Tim Jennings
Mike Berger (Friday only)
Hannah Ames (Friday only)
Julie Schmidt (Friday only)
Christian Keil
Michelle Bradley
