Awards Night Postponed

Hey gang -- we are going to postpone our awards night or do it in some other fashion.  I simply have not been able to get everything organized that needs to be done.  We'll do something here before the end of year, just not sure what.

After two extremely long days of debating at the Hyatt in downtown Minneapolis, here are results.

Christian received his third bid to the Tournament of Champions and lost in finals to Ben Holguin from Edina.

Tyler and Tim both won their triple octafinals and lost in doubles.

JV/ Novice State Results

In JV, Catherine dropped in Octas on a 2-1.

In Novice, Alex Ryan dropped in Octas to the eventual champion. Wes dropped in quarters to the eventual runner-up.

Congratulations to all on a successful season and thank you for your hard work.

This is the building where I have an office and everybody knows that I coach you guys, 
so you better all be on your very best behavior. :) 
Times:
Friday -- pickup at Lakeville South at 1:45PM; pickup at upper doors of Lakeville North at 2:00PM; 
return to Lakeville about 10:00PM.

Saturday -- pickup from upper doors of Lakeville North at 7AM; 
return to Lakeville about 6PM
ALL elimination rounds will utilize the public challenge format using the top-down approach.  
This is a weird weekend on the tournament calendar so the tournament will not be huge.  
So we're not going to enter a lot of debaters otherwise we'll end up debating each other too much.

In Texas...Cody wins his doubles round. Tim is 5-0 and Pat, Tyler, and
Christian are 4-1. Joe is doing well but they have not disclosed his
results.

At novice/jv state...Catherine breaks in JV while Alex and Wes clear in novice.
